The Foundations program encourages students to take hold of their creative education at Columbia College Chicago from day one.
Making 1 and Making 2, a pair of integrated studio courses, foster risk taking and experimentation. Students practice creative strategies for individual and collaborative project development.
A series of five-week, intensive skill-building modules complement these principle studio courses and can be tailored to each individual student’s interests and academic goals.
Introduction to Visual Culture enhances students’ skills of observation, analysis, evaluation, critique and reflection, alongside the development of research and presentation skills.
