38-2140 Child, Family & Community: Critical Perspectives of Schools This course contributes to students’ knowledge and skills necessary to work successfully with diverse families in individual, group, and community settings. The course emphasizes strategies for strengthening adult-child relationships and collaborative partnerships between educators, families, community members, and agencies. This content is examined critically to understand how some children and their families are often perceived and treated inequitably and how these inequities are embedded in US history.
