36-4890 Data Storytelling Students learn to analyze and evaluate data by focusing on questions of public interest. Then they present their work in digital forms where the data is a central part of the narrative. The emphasis is on making sense of the facts that can be distilled from a variety of open source and other data. This course is for IAM students and Journalism students because there is a synergy in the communication industry between those who hack the data and those who write about it.
