FASH 171 Garment Construction I

This course is an introduction to basic sewing and construction techniques. Fabric definition, construction and function are explored at the beginning level. Students learn hand sewing and finishing, machine operation, primary machine maintenance, industry vocabulary and production practices. Students are required to create and complete garments.
