BUSE 375 Sports Law Course is an in-depth presentation of the legal aspects of professional sports for franchises, agents, and media contracts. It analyzes a number of legal issues connected to the organization of sporting events, the participation in sporting events, and the communication of such events to the public. Topics include torts and criminal law in sports, Title IX, antitrust (collusion, single entity, franchise relocation), player contracts, collective bargaining agreements, drug testing, dispute resolution, athlete representation, licensing and sponsorships, broadcast rights, and facilities contracts.
