PHIL 312 Advanced Philosophical Issues in Media & Film


This course is an advanced exploration of the relation of philosophical texts to media and film texts, with a focus on close reading of primary philosophy texts, critical analysis of media texts, and original analytical writing explicating these two arenas in relation to one another. The course builds on the work in Philosophical Issues in Film and other lower division Philosophy courses at Columbia.
