56-2820HN The Science of Acoustics I: Honors This is an Honors course and students need special permission to register. Course introduces the physics of sound and considers how it is perceived by the ear. The concepts and applications of acoustics include sound wave theory, sound in music and musical instruments, recognition of musical sound qualities, auditorium acoustics, and electronic reproduction of sound.
