22-2150 Art of Mexico

This course presents an overview of Mexican art over 3,000 years, beginning with the ancient Olmecs and the Aztecs, and continuing with the colonial period of the 16th through 19th centuries. The course concludes with a study of 20th century and contemporary Mexican artists. Along with slide lectures and discussions, the course may include field trips to local museums.
