21-3817 Building Information Modeling - BIM

This course introduces students to design and construction processes utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM) methodology. The concept - parametric modeling - assigns information to three-dimensional objects, automatically updated as the model changes and evolves. Utilizing BIM the student will generate orthographic drawings, specifications, scheduling, and managing cost. Students will be exposed to efficient ways of managing collaborative work flows with this application.
