22-2258 Contemporary Issues in New Media Course provides students with opportunities to explore new art forms in both a studio and discussion context. Students create performance, installation, and site-specific works dealing with issues of time and space in non-traditional ways. Video (including access to a computer-based digital editing suite), sound, performance, site-specific installation, photography, non-material approaches, and other contemporary means of communication are possible media. This class is required for all Fine Arts majors in both the BA and BFA programs in the Art and Design Department. 3 Credits
