CRWR 251 Prose Forms Course is the third class in the core sequence. Aimed toward producing publishable works, this practical exploration guides students in the production of creative nonfiction, technical, expository, and persuasive writing, thereby exposing students to the kinds of writing generally useful in finding employment in arts and media fields where writing skills are essential to advancement. Course is also designed to heighten students’ sense of forms and structure in preparation for Fiction Writing: Advanced. Strong emphasis is placed on using the identified basic forms in fiction writing and in exposition.
