BIOL 135 Animal Physiology This course explores the structure and function of animals. Students gain knowledge on the diversity, as well as similarities of animal physiologies- at the microscopic as well as macroscopic level. Topics include general physiology (tissues and organ systems, sensory reception, respiration, digestion etc.), genetics and reproduction, evolution and ecology, and conservation. Special topics may include coverage of mammalian companion, economically important and zoo animals. The course includes hands-on laboratory work.
