FASH 180 Sewing for Non-Majors This course provides students, not enrolled in Fashion Design, the opportunity to learn and develop basic sewing skills and techniques, industrial machine use, and an understanding of the relationship of flat patterns to a 3-dimensional product. The course is comprised of the understanding and use of commercial sewing patterns and industrial equipment; the production sequencing steps to completion of a combination of basic garments and products; and a final project of the student’s own choice.
