COMM 509 Nonviolent Communication Seminar Featuring emerging and enduring scholarship and community-involved social justice and change guest speakers, this seminar style course will introduce humanistic psychologist and activist Dr. Marshall B. Rosenberg’s principles of nonviolent individual and group communication; consider the value and application of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s nonviolence principles and steps in the current civic media ecosystem; and serve as an introduction to the MA in Civic Media program, college resources, and academic research best practices.
