MUSC 362 Music, Time, and Place II

This course addresses the extraordinary social and cultural upheavals associated with music since 1900. Through reading, writing, and focused listening, students explore the range of challenges to the traditional high art canon asserted through new technologies, new philosophies, and the ascendency of African-American musical practices.
