SIGN 101 American Sign Language I


An introductory course in American Sign Language (ASL). This course concentrates on the development of conversational fluency in ASL. Students will develop expressive and receptive skills through discussions of such topics as sharing information about us and everyday life. Actvites include short presentations, storytelling, and lab exercises that provide extensive hands-on practice using different methods of delivery. Students will also be exposed to diverse Deaf signers, modeling appropriate language and culture behaviors in various situations.
