SIGN 201 American Sign Language III This is the third course in the series of American Sign Language (ASL). This course focuses on the further development of conversational activities. ASL skill development with application to complex grammatical structures continues through discussion of such topics as us, the Deaf community, and its culture. Activities include presentations, storytelling, and lab exercises that provide extensive hands-on practice using different methods of delivery. For community engagement, students are expected to navigate into the diverse Deaf community in order to learn about Deaf co-culture in and beyond Chicago.
