MUSC 180 Styles & Techniques Ensemble Styles and Techniques Ensemble is an introductory-level performance class for instrumentalists and/or vocalists. Styles and Techniques ensembles investigate characteristic elements of a variety of classic and contemporary genres, through a series of genre-specific modules. Ensembles are an integral component of the music program, focusing on musicianship as it applies to technical ability, music literacy, theory, history, and aural skills. Students regularly apply ensemble awareness and effective rehearsal and performance techniques, building confidence in their own abilities and in their ability to function as an effective team.
