AUDI 121 Fundamentals of Audio Production

Open to all majors, course introduces foundational skills and knowledge for pursuing paths in audio production in its many forms.

Course introduces students to essential techniques and components of creating an audio production. Instruction covers digital recording and editing including microphone usage and basic signal flow. Course is taught in a classroom laboratory through lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on creative projects. Students focus on short audio works of voice, music, and sound design which develop their technical skills and aid in focusing their individual talents.
