BIOL 150 Animal Behavior This course explores the ways in which animals survive, adapt, and respond to changes in their environment. Basic topics covered include animal learning, mechanisms of behavior, foraging, defense against predation, aggression, sensory systems, communication, mating systems, and parental care behavior. Examples from the animal kingdom will be incorporated, including consideration of the roles animals play in the daily lives of humans, and the discovery and meaning of specific animal behaviors.
