CINE 309 Practicum Art Direction This course is designed to give production design students a solid foundation in the logistical and organizational requirements of the art direction of studio and location based production. Focus will be on collaboration with a designer to fulfill the conceptual vision of a production through script breakdown, budgeting, scheduling and tracking of labor and expenses. While the course will be focused on the day to day operations of the art department for an advanced production, specific topics will be discussed throughout the term, including leadership roles and styles, intellectual property (copyright and trademark) and clearances, location scouting for art department needs, and others.
