55-5300 Story in Graphic Forms


This course covers writing for comics and graphic novels: Forms and formats similar to but unique from those of narrative prose, screenwriting, and storyboarding. The full script and plot outline styles of major publishers are explored and practiced. Business aspects such as submissions, working within publishing cooperatives, and self-publishing are presented. There’s also an emphasis on research to enable the writer to translate the envisioned image and stories from other classes into words for artist anad audience.
