28-1270 Business of Visual Arts This course investigates a broad range of visual arts institutions, organizations, and businesses, including museums, commercial galleries, non-profit and alternative venues, auction house and art fairs. The course includes site visits and meetings with professionals to provide an inside look at how these arts businesses operate and to expose students to diverse career opportunities in the field of visual arts. This course is an entry point for other visual arts management classes, a requirement for students pursuing a visual arts management concentration, and is also open to non-Business and Entrepreneurship majors.
