40-3101 Emerging Media and Society Course examines the role of emerging media related to the medium of television, considering the shifting impact of the internet and mobile media on how television is produced and consumed and understood. Students will examine issues that arise from the constantly shifting landscape of emerging media, including the role of industry and government, audience reception, social ethics, and creative production. Students discuss, debate, research, and write about current issues and topics of interest.
