56-2713 Precalculus This course is designed to prepare students for Calculus. Topics include solving linear and nonlinear equations and inequalities, systems of linear equations and inequalities, functions, inverse functions, exponential and logarithmic functions, and trigonometric functions (definition, graph and identities). In addition to content mastery, the course will further develop students’ problem solving and critical thinking skills.
3 Credits MA Requisites PREREQUISITES: 56-2710 College Algebra or COMPASS Placement Test score >= 75 or ACT (American College Test) score >= 25 or SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) score >= 580
