Can marketing fix broken communities? Can it un--sell gang culture? Can it help provide clean water in Africa? Can it be used to fix race relations in the US? How might we manage scattered resources to solve social problems? This course takes a look at the hows and whys of marketing communications as they may be used to make our society a better place to live. Students in this course will look at how strategic marketing can focus on an organization’s mission and vision, grab attention, engage its audience, and ultimately move the audience into an intended action. Upon completion of this course, students will understand the application of integrated marketing communication to solve non-traditional marketing problems.
