59-1413 Story to Stage: Adaptation for the Stage

Students explore possibilities for adapting prose to drama. Course includes readings, discussions, and films of plays based on fictional and documentary works such as The Glass Menagerie, Spunk, The Laramie Project and others. Students experiment, creating their own adaptations from selected prose as well as from their own work. Course is ideal for students wishing to work in script forms for stage, film, radio, TV, and other media.
