59-3401 College Literary Magazine Publishing Course requires that students act as editors and production assistants for the Fiction Writing Department’s award-winning annual publication Hair Trigger. Reading of submitted manuscripts and participating fully in the process of deciding what to publish and how to arrange selections, the students will work closely with the teacher of the course, who will also be faculty advisor for that year’s magazine. The student editors will also be involved in production and marketing procedures. Editors of Hair Trigger have found the experience to be very useful on their resumes and in preparation for entry-level publishing positions.
