31-2101 Comedy: Theory Students are exposed to theories of comedy and an overview of the building blocks of popular comedy throughout history. They analyze comedic texts and performances in a variety of media. Students look at how comedy reflects the concerns of society. They discuss their own responses to current events and issues as preparation to creating satiric work. This course is part of the Comedy Foundation which provides an introduction to both the theory and practice of comedy.
