The Broadcast Media minor offers students a comprehensive understanding of the skills and principles needed to succeed in the dynamic world of digital media production and broadcast journalism. Through hands-on experience and coursework, students will develop expertise in storytelling and technical production, preparing them for roles in television, radio, digital media and live production.

As a result of successfully completing program requirements, students should be able to:

•  research, write, and produce compelling broadcast stories tailored for diverse audiences across multiple platforms;
• use industry-leading tools and technical skills in audio, video, and live-stream production;
• develop strategies to connect with audiences through interactive content, social media integration, and data-driven storytelling; and
• adapt to new technologies and workflows while collaborating effectively in fast-paced digital media and journalism environments.
