Sustainable beauty management examines alternative sourcing, leadership, structural, and profit models that foreground environmental and social responsibility and recenter ecology and the human in the beauty and wellness industry. The Certificate in Sustainable Beauty Management at Columbia College Chicago is targeted toward working professionals in the global beauty and personal care industries. The certificate is designed to be pursued online. Courses are intensive asynchronous studies on a seven-week cadence and may include some synchronous web experiences. The certificate can be completed in one semester by taking all nine credits in the spring semester or more slowly, according to the student's preference.

As a result of successfully completing program requirements, students should be able to:

• apply models for sustainable local sourcing in a contemporary global context;
• deploy emerging technologies to develop sustainable products;
• query and positively redesign media production and consumption processes that impact beauty and wellness; and
