The Events Management minor offers a practice-based opportunity for students to expand their business knowledge and skills as they apply to the array of opportunities in the expanding events industry.
Upon successful completion of program requirements, students should be able to:
demonstrate fundamental business, marketing and entrepreneurial knowledge and skills in the production of events;
employ critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills that address and anticipate trends in the events industry;
plan, coordinate and execute events using industry-standard practices, and;
be responsive to ethical, cultural and accessibility considerations in the creation of public-facing events.
