28-1310 Business of Design This course introduces students to management practices in the design field. Students will investigate the business practices associated with a variety of design disciplines including graphic design, illustration, interior architecture, product design, web design, branding, marketing, photography, product design, and advertising design. Through an examination of functionality (mission/purpose, products/services, and target markets), clients/audience, organizational structure, strategy, and operations, students will understand the management of integrated design practices.
