21-4000 Illustration: Experimental Techniques In this course, students will create a series of innovative illustrations through the hands-on exploration of unusual materials and techniques, documenting their process in a journal. Contemporary and historical experimental approaches within the field of illustration will be presented and discussed. By engaging with a variety of textures and surfaces, print applications, collage and other media, students will be encouraged to seek deeper connections between seeing, thinking, and making as they compose their illustrations.
