BUSE 135 Business of Music Business of Music provides a comprehensive exploration of the multibillion-dollar music industry. Both historical developments and current music business issues are examined. Topics include professional songwriting, copyright, the recording industry, management, touring, publishing, marketing, distribution, the role of technology in the industry and careers in music. This course is an entry point for other music business classes, a requirement for students pursuing a music business management degree, and is also open to non-Business and Entrepreneurship majors.
