DANC 277 Introduction to Expressive Arts Therapy This course introduces students to the theory and application of Expressive Arts Therapy, a multi-modal form of creative arts therapy, to the practices of Arts in Health. Students engage their imaginations through an intermodal approach to art making, combining the visual arts, dance/movement, drama, music, writing, and other creative processes to promote the expression of feelings and thoughts from which new meaning can emerge. Case studies illustrate ways that Expressive Arts Therapy can foster deep personal growth and community development.
