THEA 205 Text Analysis This course introduces students to varying methods and approaches to script analysis. While students will become familiar with traditional methods of analysis, a significant emphasis will be placed on alternative and complementary methods including contemplation and intuitive responses, visualization and imagery, and somatic responses to play scripts. Through course readings, presentations, and group activities, furthermore, this course will familiarize students with vocabulary and strategies of analysis for actors, designers, and playwrights, thereby facilitating communication of production ideas.
