ANIM 210 Drawing for Animation I


This drawing-intensive course allows students to understand figurative human emotions and movements, enabling them to create believable animated characters. Students will create model sheets, learn animation principles, and learn how to endow their characters with believable actions and acting. Digital pencil testing will allow for building the animation from basic motion to more refined movements and emotion. Particular attention will be given to timing, layout, the creation of extreme drawings, and the in-betweening process.
