CINE 233 Editing and Post Sound


This introductory course will provide a basic understanding of the creative and constructive nature of editing and post-production, how all disciplines influence and are relevant in post-production and provide students with experience in non-linear editing needed to tell effective stories for the screen.  Editing exercises consist of different editing genres through practical hands-on assignments, readings, discussions, and lectures. Students will practice professional protocols of organization needed to handle digital video and audio materials, working in a NLE platform, as well as implement basic workflow. Students will give and receive ongoing critiques of your work to evaluate proficiency of craft and creativity.
