ARTS 345 Multi-Level Projects in Sculpture This studio class brings together students with a specialist interest in exploring sculpture, sculptural forms, object-making, material practices, and spatial practices. The focus is on guided development of individual projects through experimentation and personal proposals. Students will participate in group critiques as well as regular one-on-one advising sessions, allowing for iterative refinement of each artist’s vision. Conceptual and technical knowledge will be developed through presentations related to projects, individual meetings with students to discuss concepts and solve technical problems, and group critiques. Coursework will also consider strategies for presenting sculptural and spatial works; and considerations for showcasing work in various exhibition contexts.
