37-1253 Introduction to Interpreting This course introduces students to the fields of interpreting. Focus is placed on the history of the field, growth of the profession and current practices. An introduction to the interpreter’s role and ethical decision making is provided. Students will learn in an interactive setting which encourages skills in critical thinking, reading, writing and collaboration.
