24-2104 Music for Cinema Students are introduced to the language of cinema and how composers and music supervisors serve the needs of the frame while exploring the functions of the score and music licensing. Textural conceptualization and technology expanding emotional resonance are examined. Understanding the vocabulary of music, contemporary targeting issues impacting tone, voicing, spotting and the business of synchronization to picture are a vital component. Students develop musical application skills using analysis and creative projects to foster and enhance their understanding.
