21-2815 Building Codes for InArch In this course, students will be introduced to regulations, codes, and guidelines pertinent to design activities within the interior environment, in order to protect public health, life safety, and general user welfare. Participants will be provided an opportunity to gain a basic understanding of life-safety, sustainability, and industry-specific regulations. Review of various municipality’s codes, LEED Certification, the American’s with Disabilities Act, and Universal Design will be included. Students will have opportunities to put this knowledge into practice in studio classes.
