66-4210 CNC Fabrication Fundamentals Increased access to CNC (Computer Numeric Controlled) technologies originally developed for industrial manufacturing have revolutionized the creative practices of artists and designers. The CNC Router is one such technology used for cutting or carving 2D and 3D forms in many materials based on information created in software modeling applications. In this course, students will gain proficiency in CNC Fabrication techniques by learning CNC Router operation from digital modeling and file preparation to physical material preparation, handling, and machine tool use.
