Graphic Design Minor

The Minor in Graphic Design develops skills in planning, designing and managing the production of visual communication to convey specific messages, clarify complex information and project visual identities. The benefits to the student who pursues the Minor in Graphic Design include increased knowledge, skills and command of design thinking and methods. Students will come away more visually literate and with a more developed aesthetic sensitivity and visual sophistication. Graduates of the Minor will have the ability to support the communication needs required in a variety of other fields. As a result of successfully completing program requirements, students should be able to: - utilize software for print and web to gain the ability to seek out new uses for emerging technologies; and
- use developed skills in typography and layout to create clear and dynamic visual communication solutions.
