Arts and Entertainment Management, BA

The Bachelor of Arts in Arts and Entertainment Management is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and experience to manage arts and entertainment organizations and creative industry endeavors. The Arts and Entertainment Management core curriculum provides a solid foundation of essential business skills and practices within the context of a global cultural environment. The five concentrations allow students to further focus on their area of particular interest: Live and Events Management, Visual Arts Management, Film and Television Business, Design Management, and Creative Industries. The program prepares students to be leaders and innovators of creative industry, culminating in a capstone practicum experience.

As a result of successfully completing program requirements, students should be able to: 

  • apply fundamental business skills and acumen in the management of arts and entertainment organizations and creative endeavors; 
  • employ critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills to the development of cultural and creative endeavors; 
  • analyze trends, opportunities, and challenges in creative organizations in a global and technological environment; 
  • manage projects, events, performances, or exhibitions that reflect current industry practices; and 
  • assess how the business practices of arts and entertainment organizations can be responsive to issues of diversity, equity and inclusion.
