THEA 110 Improvisational Techniques I This course is a study of improvisation rooted in the work popularized by Viola Spolin. Students will work individually, in small groups, and as a single ensemble to experience the process of improvising on stage. Improvisational concepts such as focus, give and take, support, mirror, explore and heighten, environment and object work, scenic structure, beats and editing, and character will be explored and applied actively in exercises and scenework.
