THEA 322 Voice and Text This course explores the intersection of vocal technique and imagination in creating dynamic acting choices specifically through the use of language. Students will practice skillful application of vocal technique to a wide range of performance texts, while learning to build vocal strength, energy, stamina, and flexibility. Students will investigate structure, rhythm, image, argument, sound and sense in performing a variety of dramatic and poetic texts. A written component of the course requires students to reflect critically on the use of vocal technique in performance.
