SIGN 101 American Sign Language I Course concentrates on development of conversational fluency in American Sign Language (ASL). Students learn to accurately recognize and produce signs in ASL with appropriate nonmanual behaviors and grammatical features. Course is a basic introduction to ASL, and students develop expressive and receptive ASL skills through discussions of topics such as exchanging personal information and talking about surroundings, residences, families, and activities.
