ILLU 310 History of Political and Social Illustration This course explores the history of illustration as a reflection of, comment upon, response to, and protest against society, politics and culture. Through a combination of lectures, journaling, quizzes, and research projects, students will refine their skills of seeing, analyzing, discussing, and writing about illustration. Structured primarily by theme, the lectures trace the boundaries of the illustration medium while providing chronological context.
